Project Profile – Master Bathroom Renovation
2 Bedroom / 2 Bathroom House – San Francisco Bay Area, CA
The ensuite nature of this space has a view of the vanity area from the master bedroom. The couple has a modern aesthetic and wanted the master bathroom to match the rest of their home which they had stylishly redone over the past 3 years. They wanted to remove the outdated oval bathtub and add a walk-in shower with a floor-to-ceiling fixed glass panel.
Before…
The couple wanted a clean and dramatic black and white design and wanted to use natural stone. The white Carrara marble is paired with one of my favorite tiles, Black Oak Marble. The grain of the stone resembles weathered and grayed oak wood grain, with gorgeous color and texture variations. I used the Black Oak tile as a back accent wall, while the rest of the space flows with the white marble.
The shower area now has a statement black framed glass panel floor-to-ceiling, a rain shower and a large shower niche on the back wall. Complete with a towel ladder and a bidet washlet, this master bathroom is now modern and sophisticated.
