Project Profile – Master Bathroom Renovation
3 Bedroom / 3 Bathroom House – San Francisco Bay Area, CA
This master bathroom was filled with outdated fixtures, odd build-in fluorescent lights, and even a carpeted floor. The homeowner wanted the space to feel luxurious and old brass fixtures and pink floral wallpaper did not add the masculine feel he wanted when he walked into his master bathroom retreat.
Before…
The homeowner wanted a walk-in curbless shower with a rain shower head and heated towel ladder. It was very important to shift the layout of the space to include a large freestanding bathtub and to keep the separate makeup area, the parts that were important to his girlfriend.
Removing the soffits and built-in fluorescent lighting above the vanity areas, really opened up the space to show off the vaulted ceiling architecture. For this design, I used porcelain marble tile in two colors and brushed nickel fixtures.
No more carpet and no more 80’s brass.
